Recycling Brass Shot Shells

There are many reasons why someone may prefer to recycle brass casings rather than use the cartridge to make more ammo. Firing ranges or training facilities for military or law enforcement, for example, may not be able to keep up with the extensive amount of brass they produce, or a single hunter may not want to waste the time with the few brass he produces. In either case, a good solution is to recycle the brass casing.

HERE IS FEW TIPS TO GET THE MOST MONEY OUT OF YOUR BRASS AMMO:

  • SEPARATE SMALLER CALIBER LIKE 22"S
  • SEPARATE CHROMES CASINGS
  • SEPARATE ALUMINUM AND STEEL CASINGS

RECYCLING YARDS WILL ACCEPT MIXED CASINGS BUT IT MIGHT EFFECT THE PRICE DRAMATICALLY

Brass shell casings frequently change in price at scrap yards, so be sure to call your local scrap yard for their current rate, or come to Scrap Stop Metals for the best price in the region.
